2001 Mar 22 (Thu), 14:59 Hello out there WEB surfers. Well I haven't posted a letter in a
while and a lot has been going since last Fall of 2000 before the
election MADNESS. I have been hard at work recording a new CD
which should be released later on this summer. It will be called
"Latent Treasures". I have been in contact with the Recording
Noblity down in Austin, and have arranged for Lloyd MAINES to
help MIX and Master this CD project at Cedar Creek Studios
and Yes Mastering in Austin Tx. We are tracking at NOMAD RECORDING
STUDIO in Carrolton TEXAS. I hope to see all of my fans and
friends at Texas Music Revolution V (TMR V). I am perform at 10:45am
on Sunday, March 25th and will also be hosting the sound system
on the Hippie Outdoor stage this year so come by and hang out with us.
Also drop by our booth and try to win a T-shirt or CD which we
will be having drawing for and buy merchandise to help me pay
for the next CD. Miss Debbie and I will be partying hard down
at LJT Chili cook off with the CAMEL Chili Team. Let the Harem Girls
dance the night away! Our good friend and fellow picker Charlie Posey
is getting married on March 24th so everyone say a pray for him and
his new bride Sherry. I'm glad to see the AMERICANA chart back in
place and maybe this fall my NEW CD can blast out some space on it.
We're going to start the promotion earlier and push much harder on
this next project. If you are a fan of Billy Rawlett, call KHYI
95.3FM every morning and request Billy Rawlett tunes from Bruce Kidder
at 972-633-0953 EXT 3. This action will Not only get my music played
on the radio but it will help blast me onto the chart. Bruce is one
of the chart's gatekeepers so God Bless Bruce and the AMERICANA Chart and
TEXAS. Also it will irritate the Hell out of him. Well, it is about
time for The Billy Rawlett 8th Annual Summer Fan Appreciation party
at our home in Allen Texas. It is coming up on June 16th and for
anyone who would like to attend please contact me personally at
214-502-2861 for details and to reserve your seat at pool side.
We are limiting the guest list to 100 this year so call ahead
and RSVP especially if you received an invitation! Our puppy dog,
Obie has grown into a young Hunter Dog and we got him a mate last
fall named Audrey she's one bad ass swimmer and fetcher. Look for
their pictures soon in the Picture section on this WEB Site.
This year plans to be the best yet with great gigs coming up
such as Love And War in Texas, The White Elephant Beer Garden in
April and May (A great big Thank you goes out to Joe Dulle) and
many other great night spots. Please tell Nina at the Lone Star
you'd like for Billy Rawlett to perform each time you see
her. We've done everything we know to get in that place except
pay her to perform.....I think I'll try that next. In so much as
the Texas Song writer movement is about the Music it is also about
the fun and Friendships that develop over the course of time.
A special thank you goes out to the following fans and friends
